Take the Conference Home

April 30 - May 7, 2018

The live conference is over, but you can still participate.

THE SEX, POWER & LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IS A UNIQUE, CUTTING-EDGE ONLINE EVENT.

THE CONFERENCE FEATURES DYNAMIC SPEAKERS AND THOUGHT-LEADERS, INVOKING A DIFFERENT CONVERSATION ABOUT POWER & SEX.

Our goal is to contribute to the shift that's happening now around the ways sex, power, and leadership intersect and impact each other.

The Sex, Power & Leadership Conference will explore a defining, interdisciplinary, intersectional conversation that is not happening yet in the larger culture.

SEX, POWER, & LEADERSHIP SPEAKERS

We have invited a stellar cross-section of academics, culture makers, artists, activists, writers, teachers &  thought leaders in order to empower women to examine their lives so that they can step into their full power and agency, as both sexual beings and as professional women. This conference will inspire all of us to create new paradigms that don't use exploitation to accrue power over others and rather, invite positive, affirming, culture-shifting ideas around sex, power & leadership.

What Makes This Conference Different?

Current & Relevant

In the wake of #MeToo and the litany of sexual harassment and abuse stories that have come out, this conference could not be more relevant to our lives and our well-being. We will create a vision for how we can move forward, create healing justice and collaborate towards new paradigms for a vastly improved and equitable world. These are candid, raw, and real conversations, and you’ll get real tips and insights you can use right away in your workplace, relationships + life.

All the Best Aspects of a Conference—But Virtual

We have keynote interviews with thought leaders who will help us all to think outside of the box and raise the level of dialogue. We have an incredible range of dynamic panel discussions that will inspire you, illuminate you and provoke you. And we will have live workshops where you can interact with our teachers and do the hands-on skills-building that makes conferences engaging.

Join Us Live!

Amy Jo Goddard and several teachers will offer LIVE workshops so that you can show up in community, discuss issues and learn real skills. We intend to create a serious dialogue during and following the conference so that we can connect on the issues that are important to us and work together towards lasting change. We will be live in our FB group as well, so you can join us there starting right NOW.

Thoughtfully Curated

This is not a typical online summit with all the same speakers you see everywhere. This is a gathering of some of the brightest, most progressive thinkers from a wide range of perspectives who are challenging the status quo with fresh ideas. You'll be introduced to diverse leaders, teachers and influencers whose work we need now more than ever as we collaborate and elevate positive change.

Meet Your Host: Amy Jo Goddard

Hailing from Military Dad and Recovering-Catholic-Proudly-Sandra-Dee-Mom, Amy Jo Goddard had no other choice but to become a sex educator just to sail the shaky waters of human experience and help her family survive.

Actually they don’t really take sex advice from her.

But thousands of others have—Amy Jo is author of Woman on Fire: Nine Elements to Wake up Your Erotic Energy, Personal Power and Sexual Intelligence and co-author of the best-selling classic Lesbian Sex Secrets for Men, recently published in second edition. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Sexuality Education at New York University and has been teaching and speaking about feminism and sexuality for over two decades. She facilitates sexual empowerment programs for women, queer folks and couples, and works with companies to create workplace cultures that honor consent, equality, stellar communication and collaborative leadership.

Where we get our media, and where we spend our money matters.

We are proud to be partnering with Ms. Magazine and Sugar, both feminist owned and operated businesses we support wholeheartedly.

Ms. Magazine has been a major alternative media voice for decades and continues to promote quality feminist journalism. They refused to use advertising for years, supported only by readers.

Support feminist media! Find them at www.MsMagazine.com

Sugar is a feminist sex toy shop based in Baltimore that provides sex-positive education for adults. We believe in supporting feminist sex-toy shops when we need sexuality books, toys, lubricants and other support for our sexual lives. Visit them in Baltimore and buy from them online at www.sugartheshop.com
