Amy Jo Goddard has taught many multi-day intensives on how to write curricula and how to train and facilitate effectively over her 18-year career. She is a curriculum geek who gets excited by the creative process of designing workshops and trainings that will help participants to learn effectively, practice new skills and develop themselves. She has developed curricula around everything from sexual health, teen pregnancy issues, gender & sexual orientation, and HIV prevention to identity, ritual, sexual history taking, working effectively with youth and many other topics relating to service provision, personal development and sexuality. She has written a multi-day Training of Trainers curriculum and has trained hundreds of people on their facilitation skills throughout her career. Some of her clients have included the NYC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), City Kids Foundation, Cicatelli Associates, NDRI, and many other schools, school districts and agencies. Additionally, she has taught curriculum development to graduate students in the Curriculum and Teaching Department at Hunter College for the last 15 years.
